HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERY ONE!!!

A new year has come upon us
And brings forth a close to the last

It was terribly short in some ways
Yet it seems to have lasted forever

We shall never forget the times we have enjoyed
And the new experiences that came to us

The challenges that we had faced are all behind us
But brings new adventures to come

As life continues to move on
Happy New Years everyone

Living life is amusing at first
then it becomes a struggle to discover yourself inside
then you are depressed for a while,
then you're bouncing around living life like your supposed to, with love, enthusiasm, and fun hung in the air and despair all but hidden beneath the rug.
Find where you are and be sure to...
continue having fun,
take time and really discover yourself,
think about why you truely are depressed, and if it makes sense to be depressed,
and when the aroma of love and enthusiasm are hung in the air, enjoy yourself as long as u can,and may it be, forever.

I made that up on the spot and was going to make it my status for something, it said it was too long so I put it here instead

Tthe first Snow of the Year!

Hello,

I'm terribly sorry I haven't been writing in so long, I've been working on a story that I'm writing, in hopes that it will be finished soon. Anyways, I also would have written the poem that I entered in a contest at school, but I only have a rough draft the final draft is in my teachers flash drive... i should get it. But in my neighborhood, it has just snowed a couple of inches over one, but i don't know how many, anyways, it's the first snow of the season. Yay! I played with my dogs and sister earlier today (I beat her in a snowball fight, running through the cars, she surrendered because she got cold, I had gotten cold before her, but i couldn't lose to her so I went on) So, this is about that snowfall.

Slowly

Coming at an unrealistic pace
drifting, slowly, to the ground
landing upon everything
covering the Earth in a huge blanket of white
Falling, slowly for hours on end
from the early morning to the dark night
Icicles hanging on trees

Then melting away, slowly
as the sun begins to tear at the blanket
riping in places
falling off in others
this is
the first snowfall
of the year

Favorite Sayings

I know I usually write poems but I want to share some of my favorite sayings. A few of them I made up, so if you're confused just as me, and I'll explain, but here's the list of them.
  • Live Life to the fullest
  • Don't do what you love, love what you do
  • mistakes are good, you learn from them
  • friends are more important than $money$
  • whoopsie doodle!
  • If you know somethings wrong, take it upon you to make it right
  • Don't rock your world, make your world ROCK
  • The true meaning of friendship... isn't just one thing. It's MANY.
  • Beauty's in the eye of the beholder
  • a pictures worth a thousand words
  • make a wish
  • being perfect isn't everything, especially if you hate it
  • all is fair in love and war!
  • True friends are hard to find but when you find one, you sure are lucky!

Okay this one's one I made up, so I''l explain it so you don't get confused

I wrote an earlier poem called the puzzle of your life, and this refers to that. Here's the phrase first:

In the puzzle of your life, if one of the pieces doesn't fit, chuck it out the window. It means nothing to you.

I was referring to say a friend that you realized didn't really like you, or were using you, then you have to ignore them and move on with your life, so forget about them, and keep moving. So pretend they are a puzzle piece or something, and just through them out the window
( not literally of course) but you get the idea.

Thanks

The Willow Tree

I wrote this, oh so long ago, and I just remembered I haven't posted this, so this is here for you.

written on 6-25-09.

The Willow Tree

Down by the creak, the willow lies,
peacefully resting it's leaves. Its long, long thoughts
brush into the water making the water glow. All of the
animals, the birds, bees, and fish all come near to
figure out what this is. This magical moment fills through the night, waiting upon something to come.
It leaves hunch and fall into the water, waiting, simply waiting for something. Then when the sun rises, high into the sky, the willow wakes up, and begins her day, fulfilling all of her duties that need to be done. And of course each task was given to her superior, the high, all mighty God. She does each task without a complaint, for she knows without her, many creatures would lose all that they had: a home, a shelter, and a friend.

The everlasting war

A few nights ago, maybe three, or possibly two, anyways, a few nights ago, I discovered I had an I-dog, a gift from a friend a few birthdays ago. It kept me up ALL night, so I decided to write. I was too lazy to get up, to my notebook where I keep all my poems, so I began to write on my Ipod touch, something I have based upon the shore of the beach on my recent vacation there last week.

The Everlasting war
The waves crash onto the morning shore
The rocks and the waves are at each other once again
Fighting to see which gets to stay on the shore
The rocks defense is to stand still, completely rooted in the sand.
The waves however, are constantly on offense trying to get the rocks to move
This goes on all day, and all night
And into the morning
When the sun rises the next day
The rocks are still standing
They had won this battle.
The waves became angry and begin to strike once again
But each side never got tired
And the war continued to last
FOREVER

Sorry I haven't written in a while. School has just begun, and everything has been crazy, because I'm doing an extra ballet class starting on Monday, along with my normal one, also there has been a lot of homework, but nothing I can't handle. To my dismay a bunch of tests too. So anyways, at school, during Music class, we were told to write a poem. I thought what a piece of cake! Then the teacher said it had to be during medieval times. I smiled, how hard could it be? It wasn't hard at all actually. The teacher was so excited about my poem that she read it to the whole class. That part, I didn't like so much.

Here is the poem I wrote, Hope you enjoy it.

I came to a town, A town very gray,
where all the colors had gone and hid away,
For the town was banned from showing any color,
on every single sister, brother, and mother,
The sun rose up on the town made of gray,
and the children came out and began to play,
They danced and twirled around the town square,
round and round, around the fountain of despair,
I bent down and placed a coin in the fountain,
and suddenly all color spread all the way from the mountain,
For the fountain had said,

The first act of kindness, shows the true beautiful colors,
Of our hearts.

The puzzle of your life

Today, I made my dad start a mickey mouse puzzle that is made of thousands of disney scenes - 1026 pieces to be exact, and even though I suck at puzzles, my dad's amazing. I got the rest of the family to join in. While we were starting the puzzle I came up with this poem called the puzzle of life.

The Puzzle Of Life

Your life starts out with one puzzle piece,
Then they add on as you go on,
Each memory, even if you don't remember it,
will be there.
Each mistake, each tear, each smile.
All are there.
Never to be forgotten.
Each piece comes after the next,
perfectly fitting in place.
And when you're old and gone,
there it is.
The completed puzzle of your life.

My Friend Moon.

I wrote this poem at 6 in the morning on our way to Disney world. The moon was shining bright and beautiful in the sky, so I simply had to write about my friend the moon.

My Friend the Moon.
I have no idea where I am,
we pass so many things, unknown to me,
all unfamilar.

There's only one thing close to me.
The only thing familar.
That follows me wherever I go.

His thoughts are always surronding me,
Listening to whatever I may say.
I think of him, and what I would do without him.
I cannot Imagine it.
I just can't.

He feels how tense I am, and trys to make me relax.
Whispering thoughts in my ear.

But the one thing thats sticks out,
Is that I'll always have home waiting for me,
with people I know and love.

And wherever I may go in life,
the moon well be there too.
Right there beside me.

Adarsh's Graduation Poem

On August 1st, obviously a long time ago ( I haven't written for awhile because my family went on a vacation to Disney World because I had to go there and perform a few dance with my ballet school, and we had an amazing time. There was even a workshop where Goofy came and danced with me and my dance class. We even learned a number from the Hollywood Studio's "Beauty and the Beast" production. The downside was that I didn't get to write very much), anyways, On August 1st, we were having a Graduation party for my cousin Adarsh. He is going to college this fall. A bunch of us were told to bring something inspirational. So here is the poem that I wrote and spoke aloud for him before we cut the cake.

So, Here it is:

Adarsh's Graduation Poem

We look up to you,
Us little ones,
We watch, and admire, your every move,
Hoping to be as great as you are,
Someday.
Now is your moment to shine,
You may not know it,
But you are one of a kind,
And there is nobody like you.
Success will surely come your way,
But remember,
Success is not something given to you,
You must earn it on your own.
And sometimes,
When you are really overwhelmed,
You may want to give up, and come back home.
But stop,
Think of the journey it took to get you there.
Are you just going to throw that all away?
Please don’t, because we at home are counting on you,
Not to give up.
So go on,
Show us all what you can do,
And we shall be waiting,
Right here at home, missing you.

I am

This is perhaps the very first poem I ever written, during a boring day of school in September when they were explaining the rules to the new sixth graders for the millionth time that week. I found it today cleaning my room. I liked it so much that I rewrote the poem on a fresh sheet of paper, then I crumpled up the first copy and threw it on my desk and went downstairs to show my mom. She said this is her favorite one ever and I think it's mine too. I decided to share it with all of you, So here it is:

I AM
I am an individual who loves to be,
as quiet as the morning sea,
I can be as loud as a new drum,
I see a bright future for me to come,
I seek to help others in need,
and help to plant more tree seeds.
I will help to right what I think is wrong,
and hum along to the bird's new song.
I want to challenge myself all I can,
It is a part, of my life's game plan.
I'm a cloud as soft as can be,
a river that flows into the deep blue sea,
I'm a brave warrior you know,
and that part of me shall never go.
I am myself and that's all I'll ever be,
Even if I grow as tall as a maple tree.
For I am, Me and that's all I can be.
Hope you all like this one!
Please Comment,
Thanks,
Meghana :)

Memories

This poem I wrote last night but I was too tired to post it on my blog. Hope you like it:)

Memories
Our bad memories hurt us, as bare feet on shattered glass, and may haunt us our entire lives.
And our good memories, may sometimes be in our hearts,
as a needle in a haystack. And the needle tends to be the good memory.
But we should not be letting our good memories be torn from us. No. We should place them deep within our hearts, never to be forgotten. And the bad memories, should be the needle within the haystack. And let us learn from these memories. Sometimes the ones you love, try to protect you from having these memories. But they have to know, and let them know, that you will make your own memories, and good or bad, they should be your own.

Rainbows

The other Day a Rainbow had appeared in the sky behind our house. My mom and I were fascinated by its beauty that we walked up and down the hill next to our vegetable garden on the side of our house until the rainbow faded away.
So here is the poem I wrote on July 2nd when a different rainbow was in the sky, and above is the picture I drew today of a rainbow:
RAINBOWS

The pot of gold at the end of each rainbow,
is it really always there?
Many people, who don't enjoy life as it is
have a tendency to be greedy.
Why can't they, as I often do, look at the rainbow,
and smile.
The rainbow is a very beautiful thing, given to us
by god.
All you want to do is stop life for a few moments and marvel at it's beauty.
But life has to go on. Each second ticking away.
Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock!
Something special and unique about rainbows,
is the fact that you can't cut them down, no matter how hard you try.
You just can't.
Unlike the trees.
You just can't.
They come and go as they please.
There's no telling when the next one coming.
It's a secret surprise lurking around the corner,
coming, to brighten up your day!

Buddy and Lucky

Buddy and Lucky
Lucky Jumping in the air to catch the ball and Buddy running behind her

Lucky half- asleep

Buddy chewing a bone

I feel like writing something about my dogs, so here it is:

Buddy And Lucky
A few years ago, don’t remember how many
Two great bundles of joy entered my life
They enjoy sleeping
Eating
Playing ball
Being brushed
Chasing birds
Biting water from the hose
Just the normal activities, right?

They are too cute for words
Growing up too fast
My little angels can certainly bring a hurricane of mess into the house
But I love them
Never the less
For they will always be my two little puppies
Who enjoy eating my socks
And chase each other in the backyard
Come and meet
Buddy and Lucky

The Lonesome Tree

When my family and I were leaving clothes after shopping for clothes, we saw the beautiful sky and it was like a navy blue color. and there right in front of the store across the street was this tree sitting all by itself surronded by the pavement and cars. So when I got home I asked my mom what to write a new poem aboutand she said the tree in the parking lot with the navy blue sky. So here is the poem of The Lonesome Tree.

The Lonesome Tree
When the sky becomes dark at night,
but not as dark as black,
but a dark blue,
a navy blue.
A lonesome tree I noticed,
sat by itself,
longing for a friend.
The squirrels and birds that live in the tree,
would like a new friend or two.
But frankly that is not possible.
For the lonesome beautiful tree,
is in the middle,
the middle of a
Parking lot.

Clouds

Today on our daily walk, I look up into the sky and my mom says, did you draw your clouds today?
And I say, no mom sorry, I forgot.
She looked disappointed. She asks us(my sister and I) to draw something each day and for the past few days we seem to have forgotten to draw these clouds she has wanted. So I wrote this for her. So mom, this one is for you!

Clouds
What are these gray puffs that are always in the sky,
day and night.
Or perhaps a big cotton candy machine has exploded.
Why,these shapes are like Magic!
They can block the sun, the stars, and the moon.
And they can change shapes before our very eyes.
Look, they are most certainly always moving.
But the can change different colors too,
depending on what mood they are in.
For it seems, that they do have feelings too,
just like me and you.
When they are upset, they cry great tears, the size as our own.
(Except theirs can fill rivers and end droughts.)
Maybe it's because someone for them is gone.
So they get upset about that and cry their hearts out.
For everything surely has a heart.
Just because we cannot see it doesn't change the fact that its possibly still there.
Right?
But what is this mysterious creature?
That haunts our night sky,
and is our friend when we walk on our way to school.
Watching over us.
So come meet your new friend.
Cloud.
Today I feel like writing another poem and this is another one that I wrote the same day as The Pool of your Dreams:

As the wind blows to the east,

telling the tales from far away,

they make you want to wish you were there,

in another land,

but it's only if you trust,

the tales from the wind.

The Pool of your Dreams

I wrote this poem on June 23rd:

The Pool of your Dreams

Each time I lie to sleep, in the warm comforts of my bed,

I think about what journey I will embark upon up ahead.

In the Journey of Life you will need to rest, and each time you do,

you will be surrounded in the pool, the pool of your dreams.

The Spider's Web

This is another poem I wrote the same day as Nature, because the idea just came to me:

The Spider's Web

I glance once, twice, then once more again .
What I see is astounding to me, the web of the spider's is calling to me.

I Examine it deeply.

The pattern was simply uncalled for.

It was spectacular, but it made me unsure.

For the spiders web created letters, forming, almost a special secret message,
just for me!

Nature

Here is the first poem I wrote on the first day of my summer vacation, where I imagined myself at a party at my aunts house and I was laying on the big trampoline, all by myself.

I look up at the leaves whispering amongst themselves,

mixing in with the sounds of nature, and the sounds of people laughing,

screaming, whispering, and crying. Inbetween the leaves, the shining bright stars

glisten above, as if they weren't real. As if they are a figment of my imagination. As

I look up upon the sky of green, black, brown, silver, and gold, I hear the calling of

the birds, the owls, as I gently fall asleep; keeping a mute on the music of life

surrounding me.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Yesterday was my Dad's Birthday party, and I want to wish him a Happy Birthday. This is what I wrote for you Dad, I hope you like it!

Lucky

That is what I am to have you as a Father.

You are as smart as can be, and as loving as ever.

Like how a bird makes a nest for her young. That is how caring you are. You care

for us so much that you would do whatever it takes to make sure there is a roof

over our heads, and food to eat whenever we are hungry.

You're Always there for me, and you're always telling me what's best for me, and

even though I may not like it, I shall always appreciate it.

And remember I am going to always be there for you.

I LOVE YOU DADDY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

The first poem I wrote

This is the first poem I wrote that inspired my mom to tell me to write a poem each day. I wrote it in like February or March, around the 2nd Quarter of my school year, and my mom found it digging through my papers to find things for me to study over the summer. Here it is, Hope you like it :

I hear whispers amongst me,
each telling a tale of wonder.
About dragons, princesses and knights.
Oh, how I long to be,
inside those beautiful tales,
to see the valleys,
and the streams,
oh, how I long to be,
inbetween the pages of a book.

Hope you liked it!
Thank you! :)

Trees

Sitting at Panera Bread for Lunch today I spotted 5 trees sitting by themselves all alone in the parking lot. It made me wonder, and I wrote this:

Why do we never give these beauties a second glance?
We just look once then never again.
But if we were to just take the time to simply stare,
and listen to the beauty of life,
living silently amongst us,
in a tree.

Hi there

Hey, I just wanted to start blogging, my mom does it and she seems to enjoy it, and she is pretty good at it. So I've decided to do that. I write a lot of Poems so I thought I would be good at this. I intend to write each day so I hope you enjoy!
